Dr. Chris H. Serlo is a native Montgomery County resident. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland. Dr. Serlo pursued his medical education at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Serlo’s surgical residency program was completed at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Township Division, New Jersey. He has been in private practice for over 35 years.
Dr. Serlo is a board certified surgeon by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
While focusing on connecting with his patients through the process of diagnosis and treatment, Dr. Serlo’s plan of action for each patient starts with a conservative approach to treatment and moves forward to a positive end result. Dr. Serlo’s practice includes diabetic care, deformity (bunions, hammertoes, etc), soft tissue care and fracture care as well as sports medicine aspects of podiatry.
Dr. Serlo is a US Army veteran, having spent three years of active duty stationed at the Pentagon working in the office of General William Westmoreland, Chief of Staff, U.S. Army. When his children were young, he spent time coaching various sports (basketball, baseball, softball, football). In his spare time, Dr. Serlo enjoys spending time with his family while playing tennis, mountain biking, basketball, paddle boarding and traveling.
