Solidarity Statement

Statement from Shady Grove Podiatry  Regarding the Recent Unrest in Our Country

In the wake of our country’s recent unspeakable tragedy, we have a great deal of work to do to overcome racial, ethnic, and cultural inequities. While progress has been made, these inequities still remain evident each day in the healthcare environment; in particular during the pandemic where the well-being of communities of color are disproportionately affected by infection and economic impact.

At Shady Grove Podiatry, we are a place of healing and hope for some of our patients for example who are compromised by chronic disease such as diabetes, where saving limbs and lives is paramount to us. We care for all patients, regardless of their gender, race, religion or other. To that end, we are united in condemning all acts of racism, bigotry, discrimination, and violence.

We believe change has already begun and must continue to evolve in order to create a society of equity for the future. We are deeply invested in that commitment to our patients, our communities, and to the world. In healing, there is truly hope.
